Every component of attic mold addressed: the visible growth, the substrate, and the cause.
🔍
Attic Mold Assessment & Ventilation Survey
Assessment covers sheathing moisture content readings, growth extent mapping, identification of all exhaust fans terminating inside the attic, vent count versus square footage comparison, and ridge vent assessment. Written findings before scope proposal.
🔨
Roof Deck Sheathing Mold Treatment
Loose surface mold removed by HEPA vacuuming and wire brush. EPA fungicide applied followed by penetrating borate solution. Sections with advanced degradation are flagged for sheathing replacement.
💨
Bathroom & Kitchen Exhaust Fan Rerouting
Improperly-terminated exhaust fans are corrected by extending ductwork through the attic to a gable, soffit, or roof cap termination point — properly insulated flexible duct or rigid metal, sealed at the fan housing and at the exterior cap. This is typically a same-day correction completed alongside the mold treatment in your Maywood home.
🏔
Soffit Vent Addition & Ridge Vent Assessment
Where soffit vent area is inadequate relative to attic square footage, additional vents are added to improve cross-flow to the ridge. Blocked soffit vents — a common issue in Maywood, NJ attics with blown-in insulation covering the eave bays — are cleared and baffled to maintain airflow pathway.
😵
Attic Insulation Removal Where Contaminated
Blown-in or batt insulation that has absorbed mold spores or become wet must be removed and replaced — it can't be treated in place. Our Maywood, NJ team removes contaminated insulation under HEPA containment as part of the attic remediation scope when warranted by the assessment findings.

Post-Remediation Clearance & Moisture Verification
Sheathing MC re-check post-treatment plus independent air sampling inside attic and in living spaces below. Written clearance report confirming reduced spore counts and acceptable moisture content.
